And can you imagine an emergency room on the 4th of July? I’m sure you can. Soooo not going there.

As soon as it happened and before there was any swelling at all, I checked it all out and the parts are all where they are supposed to be, and it wiggled just fine (though painfully, obviously). It’d be a waste of time to pay someone to tell me what I already know. I pretty much would have to see things pointing in the wrong direction or evidence of serious blood seepage before I’d bother seeing as doctor about it.

But my gods, the twitching my toes apparently do all day long when I am not paying attention to them? It’s driving me crazy, now that I have reason to notice.

I am not sure I would go to the doctor. You’ll get your toe x-rayed and then hear either “Yes it is broken” or “No, it isn’t broken”. If it is broken they will “buddy tape” it to the toe next to it and that will be it. You can buddy tape your toe at home without losing several hours from your life and spending hundreds of dollars.

Unless you have cause to believe the bone is shattered, and from what you’ve described, that possibility is remote.

Reading her statement was one thing. It was kind of crazy and rambling and out there in some ways. I finally watched it and holy cow, there’s a screw or two loose in her head or something. Not that I haven’t always thought that of her, but she seemed worse than usual.

I still suspect there’s some huge scandal about to come out or that won’t come out, now that she’s stepping down.

No matter what, I doubt we have heard the last of her, though I really wish she’d just go away already.

I was noticing that last night while I was trying to fall asleep. The toes … they just flex on their own a few times an hour, and OMG! The pain that causes.

Yes, I am noticing for the first time, just how often I move my toes while just sitting around doing nothing. In fact, I am TOTALLY aware of my toes in all ways. I have never been so painfully aware of the life of my toes. My goodness, they are active little things.

I think she’s just another middle-aged Maybelline Queen who’s been using speed to keep her figure and has progressed to the point where it’s now affecting her brain. Second only to alcohol as a mood modifier up where she lives.

It is the most excruciating thing I have ever experienced, and I have had other far more serious injuries in my life. It’s not even broken, so I can only imagine how much more that would hurt. It’s just terrible, like it’s on fire.

Though it’s getting better. So long as I don’t put any pressure on it, let any wind touch it, or look at it too hard.

Argh! I broke a toe one time and you are spot on. It is amazing how much pain can come from a tiny little toe.

None of mine have wings. I did visit that site earlier and saw a few things that were close, but not quite that very bug. So it could be an immature variety of something.

They didn’t look like they were doing anything beneficial, so rather safe than sorry, I sprayed them with my soapy-hot-pepper-water, which killed them dead in under 15 seconds. If they end up being good bugs, I’ll have to feel bad about that, but I didn’t get the feeling they were hanging out on my tomatoes trying to help me any.
